I highly recommend Willamette Dental in Tacoma! The office staff work hard and are always friendly to customers. I’ve noticed that at other dental offices, staff sometimes chat among themselves even while customers are waiting β€” that’s never the case here. The Willamette Tacoma team is consistently attentive. My periodontist is wonderful. He’s excellent at planning treatment for complicated issues and very effective in his approach β€” it’s clear he’s knowledgeable and skilled at what he does. Most importantly, Willamette’s insurance and copay costs are very affordable. I know other plans charge an arm and a leg for the same treatments I receive here. Overall, I highly recommend Willamette Dental to anyone looking for quality, affordable care.

I appreciate the hygienist and the dentist for their input on my dental care. HOWEVER, I do not like Willamette’s policy that if you take care of your teeth you only get to get your teeth cleaned ONCE a year versus every 6 months. I pay the same amount for my insurance as people who have teeth issues and should get the same coverage for preventative dental care! Instead, I’m limited to once a year dental cleaning.

I feel two ways about Willamette dental Tacoma . On one hand I've received good dental care there. The insurance has good coverage as far as co-pays, the hygienist I've had was very good. So here's why I only give it a 3. The office staff are off-putting and create a very negative culture within the office. When you walk in you see a bunch of computer monitors from their backsides with 2 or 3 faces peaking out from behind them...no greetings or smiles..no eagerness to serve you..honestly it's like walking into a DMV. When they finally wave you over they check your name. Tell you that owe such and such ..take your payment and tell you to sit down. It's all very cold and inanimate. Whomever runs the office you can do better. The office staff is most important as a face that represents your company.

Corporate conveyor dentist, the doctor won’t even have enough time for your procedure and will hop from client to client whilst the dental assistant does most of the work. They think it’s good β€œpolicy” and procedure to give someone a consent form for an extraction whilst already on the chair under anesthesia. Not informing the patient ahead of time of the consequences and the after care. As long as they can make their money. They also don’t know how to properly apply anesthesia since I got super dizzy once and the other time stabbed me a dozen times and I could still feel stuff. And then they hide behind corporate β€œpolicy” when it comes to requesting your patient records because even though they have all your info right then and there and have a printer they still refuse to give you your own information. Terrible place and would not recommend going here

This clinic is awful!!! I can not wait for my daughter to get her braces off so we can move care elsewhere! The communication is horrible. The staff could really care less about anything. You'll be greeted with eye rolling and attitude. It took a little over 3 months to actually get to speak to a manager and once I finally got to speak to one was even more of a joke. I was told well youre 1 of 6,000 so we are doing my best. We are busy. Um ok so because youre busy your excusing this behavior. Got it.
